Hi all,
I recently had my brake lining sensor light come on and shortly after ABS,ESP and BAS. I know that the ABS knocks out the other systems but after changing the pads and lining sensors the lights won't reset (not even the lining one)and code C1110 comes up (can't find a descriptionfor that one with snap on scanner).I also noticed that my cruise control is not working, does this also get knocked out by ABS? Or is this part of the problem. Any ideas where to go with this next could this be part of that wiring harness problem that I have read about? No other running issues(yet).
Thanks,
Don

could be a brake light switch at the brake pedal. if they go bad you can get an ESP light. or maybe you need to turn your steering wheel lock to lock and hold it there for a few seconds to initialize the steering angle sensor..usually only need to do that when the battery goes dead or replaced..

Cruise and ABS rely on a signal from the brake switch to determine when the system is required to operate / cancel.
The brake switch has two circuits. one normally open, one normally closed.
Faulty brake light switches are very common.
Another input to both these systems is wheel speed.
Not sure which wheel is used for the cruise or whether it is a composite that requires all four wheel inputs to be working, but the ABS certainly requires speed input from all wheels.
So did you accidentally damage the wiring to a speed sensor in the front hubs?
Possible that just jacking the car up has stretched an incorrectly run cable and broken the wire or part disconnected a plug connection.
First port of call is the brake light switch however.

I have the same problem, 06 C230 brake pads and rotors replaced, but ABS and ESP light comes on at start, stops rough, cruise will not work. The repair shop says the ABS electronics board has gone out and needs to be replaced for about $1100. Is there a cheaper fix? does the price sound right?
