I have a 87 420selthe ABS brake lightcomes on and my transmission starts racing. If I put the car in Drive or reverse it jumps into gear, when the light goes offthe car idles smoothly. Does anyone know what this could be and what is the correlation between the ABS and transmission. I'm trying to avoid the "you need a new transmission" only to find out it could be a sensor or something simple.
PS... my transmission fluid and filter has been changed within the last month.
