94 C220 Jump in RPM in Reverse
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. I have been having a problem with my 1994 Mercedes C220. The car is in pristine condition (well I think so anyway) and has about 50k miles. The thing is that sometimes (maybe 50% of the time) when I shift into reverse the RPMs with rev continuously. It’s like the RPMs are bouncing up to 1500 over and over. It sure makes parallel parking a pain. This only happens in reverse. Do you think it could be a vacuum leak? Any advice or ideas would be great.
