89 190e 2.6 a/c receiver/drier
Anyone ever had a problem fit with replacement part. I ordered one from Autoparts warehouse the hose ports don't lineup correct. Checking with Advance auto,Autozone,Adsit and Autohausaz they all show the same part.
If it's not the right part, It's not the right part. It's that simple.
I know their book will say it is the right part, and will recommend it for the full range of 190's, but actually there were several design changes during the production run. I think what they should say is that its the most likely part, and they don't carry the others.
Get your VIN number, call a dealer and see if they give you the same part number. I have been made aware that sometimes the local parts stores have the same part, but sometimes not. This might be one of those times. Forget re-threading, metal working or cutting the tubes-the a/c system has to be anair tight precision fit. Already been throught this myself.
