Hey-
I have a 73 280 and the passenger window goes down fine, but I need to push the switch just right and it goes up. it only works sometimes. I think it is the switch, do I need to clean the switch?

Most likely the contact in the switch are burnt up. The "up" contacts seem to burn out sooner than the "down" contacts. I guess the motor draws more amperage raising the window than lowering. You may buy some time by disassembling the switch and sanding the contact, but the switch is full of springs and steel ***** which fly everywhere. Your best bet is to buy a new switch. Dustyr
