Hi All
New here and have a 77 450sl that leaks trans fluid after sitting. I can park the car to months with no leaks.Then one day it will leak about a cup or less of transmission fluid, clean that up then nothing again for a while then it does it again. Any ideas why? Have checked the pan and made sure all the bolts are tight.

Does it leak after a hard or long ride? Or is it after it's been parked a long time?

 

Hi Rich - are you able to pinpoint exactly where the leak is coming from? Is it around where the shiftier linkage connects?

 

Sorry for the delay been sick. but leaks after sitting a few months. Nothing then one day a puddle
