Default 450 sl stalls after long trip

78 450 sl stalls after long trip and will not restart for 15 -20 minutes. It will usually fire immediately but then stops firing and just turns over. Not sure if it is faulty coil or fuel related.

Well fooled again i thought i had the problem resolved but I was wrong.

On hot days only the engine temperature gets up around 200 and theoil pressure get around 15lbs and then the engine will suddenly stop running. After a 15 minute the engine will restart and I drive a few blocks but the engiine will stop running again.

The car has a new fuel pump, fuel regulator, Fuel filter, new injectors and seals, all the fuel lines have been check for leaks and repaired. The rad was check for circulation and is flowing.

On cool days this hot running condition does not appear to happen nor does the engine suddenly stop running.

On another note the temperature inside the car gets unbarebly hot when the engine suddenly stops running.

I thinking on changing the catalytic converter because it might be contributing to the excessive engine and the heat inside the vehicle cockpit.

I really don't know if this will help but I guessit is worth a try.
