I am currently replacing the head gasket on my 1987 sohc 300e mercedes,when i stripped the cylinderhead to take it to be skimmed i found the camshaft is worn on two lobes, does the camshaft need replacing, or is it possible to get away with it, and if it does need replacing, can i just place the camshaft or do i have to replace the whole head. i would appreciate any advice you can give me.
