300-E Cruise Problem

The Cruise on my '92 300-E rarely turns on. When it does, it modulates rapidly between going fast...then slowing waaaaay down. Anybody know what's up ?

Check the tire sizes and make sure they are correct. It can affect the cruise control if they are not correct. Other than that I have no clue. Sorry.
