Default 207D start problems

hi, I've got a 1980 MB 207d camper. It's got a newer Tausch engine, from a G-model.
Now it wont start, it started yesterday after sitting for 2 years. I bought a new battery.
I can't find the starter solenoid.
Hope you can help me out :-)

cheers,
Bas

Default Vacuum start?

Hi Bas, have a look at the fuel system, my 207D is a slightly newer 1983, and has vacuum only system, no solenoid, vacuum pipe runs from ignition to a vacuum operated cut off valve that lifts to allow fuel to engine, if your starter is cranking engine over, then vacuum cut off is a good place to start, hope this helps, when my engine runs sluggish I often find the valve sticking a bit, and fuel delivery gets restricted, also you may need to prime the engine first, little white dial next to above said valve, pump a few times until you see no air bubbles in fuel pipe. Good luck
