Hi i am just wondering if anybody can help me with some fault code descriptions please as i was showing my uncle how to use his diagnostic software and his car threw a B270B and a 0012 i found no mention of the B code in my code list but then it does not have a complete list of merc codes and i am completly baffled about the other as it does not seem to even tell me what type codes it is.

By the way i reset the codes and they both came back withing 5 mins

 

this is a touchy subject. unfortunately a B code and a C code are manufacturer specific codes, and for some unknown reason; the european car manufacturers consider these TOP SECRET(could it be that they want u to take it to a mercedes dealership so THEY can work on it?). these are very hard to find information on, and if anyone could tell you what it means, it would be a mercedes tech.

 

Thanks for the reply i do like to work on cars myself but for things i dont understand i go to the dealer howver its my uncles car and its out of warranty so at £100 an hour even a simple job really adds up so he was hoping to fix it without the dealer.
