had a problem with my car stuttering from a standing start and checked fault codes. Fault showed as MAF circuit fault. Had new MAF sensor fitted and now have an horrendous flat spot when accelerating hard at 5,000 rpm. been told that the fault codes may have not been removed, (have had this done and checked), or that the ECU needs re-mapping. The new MAF has been in four days and apart from the flat spot under hard acceleration, the car appears to be fine, there are no fault codes shown and no engine management warnings, anyone any ideas as to what to try next ? don't fancy a re-map.
