Hi, first time posting... I have a 85 300D which has had a squealing heater blower motor for some time. Finally it stopped altogether. I pulled it out and have been trying to find one to replace it with. I am able to find replacements online, however they don't look like the one I pulled out! I will try to post a picture of mine below... All the replacement blower motors I can find look to have a squatter motor, and a tab that comes out the side of the housing. I've been to the local dealer as well as an independent Mercedes shop and no one so far is able to help. Does anyone know if these various motors are interchangeable? Maybe I pulled out the wrong part, that wouldn't surprise me. Thanks!
