I've read and tried all the other posts about resetting the service light, and none of them seem to work on my car...... I've got a 2006 C230 Sport that shows "3 days past B Service"...... HELP!

First, switch the ignition on, only the lights don't start it. Then the message will flash! Press up or something to remove the message, then go back and find it again. Once the service is displayed on the screen, push and hold the black stalk on the Cluster down, It should beep at you then say; "Confirm by pressing R for 3 seconds" Press the Cluster stalk and hold. That should be it!
IF NOT,
Turn the key one click, make sure your screen shows the mileage. Then press the stalk 3 times, This takes you into a menu. Press the arrow down and you should find "Service Confirmation" then follow the steps. If not. Then it is definately the first method!

I too have tried all the ways posted in this forum to reset my service B light (have my car serviced by an independent mechanic and he was not sure how to reset it). I recently took mymb 2004 c230k to mb for an oil change, I thought they could turn it off but they told me not unless they do the service. I don't get any beeps or messages when holding the reset button. It just resets the trip odometer. I wonder if mb did something to it because they knew I was just there to get it reset. Help any other ideas!
