Default Reset Service Display for C230 - Anyone?

Greetings,

Does anyone have the reset procedure for the Service Display Alert for a 2005 C230 Kompressor?

I am an accomplished DIY mechanic but need to know the secret procedure on this. Please post here or, if this is not politically correct, my e-mail is "HMBKaren@comcast.net".

Thank-you very much! - Jack

I and others have posted this many times on this site. You can do a search and find it I'm sure. If you have a problem, I will email you how to do it, but it's very easy and not really a secret at all. I have a C230K 2005, so I know it will work for you.

Thumbs up

OK> I changed my mind. One more time just for you, Jack!

How to reset service interval on a 2005 C230K.......

1. Put key in and turn it to the #2 position....do NOT start the car!
2. Scroll the menu button until the vehicle mileage shows
3. Use the "up and down" button until the "wrenches" show
4. Press and HOLD the trip reset button in for 10 seconds and then release it
5. Press and HOLD the trip reset button in for another 3 seconds and release it
6. Your vehicle service indicator should now be reset.
