Default shiny black trim going cloudy?

Hi there, newbie here but i hope you can help me nonetheless. We've just bought a 2003 merc e320 CDI avantgarde and it's in pretty good condition (save some paint chips on the front, i'm fairly handy with a chip repair kit so they should be OK) and some cloudy black shiny trim on the two front doors. it's the strip that's just under the windows, and the clouding looks like watermarks. I've tried vinegar and t-cut to get them to go away but it made no difference, and i'm just wondering if there's any way to restore this trim to its pristine condition?

Thanks in advance.

See, I have a 2001 C320 and mine turned a brassy color. I had to replace them. I dont know how to make them clear again but did you try to take it to an auto body shop? Maybe they can do an extreme buff on the trim peices.

Try "Mothers Back to Black" - you can get it at any auto parts store. The stuff works great. Just make sure you don't let it sit for too long. Apply it and buff it off within a minute - I apply it to my 99' ML every few weeks - looks great.
