Default Install HID in 2003 ML 350. Is this even possible?

Hi all and thanks for reading my post. I just purchased a 2003 ML 350 and it did not come with HID headlamps. My question is, is it even possible to purchase aftermarket H7 HID bulbs/ballast and install it on my ML? Any suggestions on how to complete this install would be greatly appreciated. Also, where to get them would be cool too. My only concern is that the HID bulb would be too long for the Projector inside the headlight housing.....any recommendations are really appreciated!

You might need a new reinforcement bracket. HID'S are bigger lights then the standard light. Also make sure the harness is the same.

one of the worst things you can do is to install an HID bulb inside an H7 reflector. as easy as these conversions sound, the resulting beam is fraught with stray light and requires more information than to simply suggest this to be viable alternative. HID D2S bulbs are designed to be used with PROJECTOR headlights. HID D2Rs are designed to be used with HID reflector headlights. find others who have done same conversion, using the same kit, and ask for photos of the beam against wall to determine degree of glare or precision of focus. go cheap and you'll end up blinding other folks...not to mention poor light output.
