Awesome, I was hoping you were going to try this one out when I saw you bought it. Just a few questions, how is the backpressure to boost ratio? What rpm does is spool at? What pressure do you have it set at? Any gain or loss in 0-60?

I was told holset mass flow as per the map is in (kg/s)*sqrt(K/MPa) which isn't equal to just the usual kg/sec? This figure also needs to be multiplied by 0.773 to get a lb/min figure. I'm no maths guru so if it doesn't ring true let me know.

Hi mate, just went out and had another look at the turbo and i'd read it wrong as it's upside down. It's got the 8cm2 housing which i'm happy with. It spools fine and should have a better top end than the 5cm2. It's hard to get a pic as the bay is tight. Thanks for the Cummins number!

 

Hi mate, I saw your vid and thought I'd add one of mine. Just got it running properly. It's seriously quick. Going on the Dyno Wednesday for a power run. The car is a highly modified Volvo T4 Turbo 1855cc.

Hi mate. The car made 285bhp and 318lbft @ 20.5psi. More to come I think!

 

On the dyno we hit the limiter at 6750rpm

 

Thanks mate. What did you say max airflow was for this turbo? 0.23kg/sec?

 

I know it's so hard to find out any info on the turbo's and obviously there is a massive difference between 0.23 and 0.33kg/sec. How did you work out how much my turbo was flowing at 20.5psi?
