Default Where to buy plastic tab to open hood on 240D

Hi folks
While putting my 240D up for the winter last December, I went to open the hood and the little plastic tab that pops out through the grill snapped off in the cold. Appears this is the weak point of the car. Was finally able to open the hood with a coat hanger after much gnashing of teeth.

Where can I order or buy a replacement tab?

thanks for the help!

Well FI, you gotta give folks choices. I understand that the dealer is usually the cheapest source for most old MB parts, but not everybody is convinced yet. Some would still rather buy aftermarket instead of from their local "stealer" regardless of cost.

I however, always go to my dealer first, and heck, just for the silly stories I tell them while I visit, I get a substantial discount on every order.

Thank you gentlemen. The issue for me is, in Maine, the nearest (and only) dealer is about 2 hrs away. It would be cheaper for me to order it and have it shipped. Would NAPA carry something like that?

thanks again

Default the part

Thats good information to know that the dealer cost less than aftermarket...I'll have to check that out, I'm looking for a rear bumper side part for a 1984 300d grey market..they are halve the length and the bumper has no center pad....but anyway...if you willing to pay 11.95 the part is here
