Question w123 wheel alignment specification

Where can I find an alignment specification for my 83 300D? Would like to do a self alignment when I get round to it. There is a lot of write-up on how-to on the web and would like to give it a shot.

Comments from anyone who has done it before on a 300D/240D would be appreciated.

From my experience a front end alignment on a 123 costs about $60-$80 at a good alignment shop. Why anyone would want to do this themselves considering how inexpensive it is (and how hard it is to get right without very expensive machinery) is beyond me.

It is not about money, it is an adventure. I thought it may be fun to try it if I have the spec. It is not as difficult as one may think.

BTW: we are in recession.

I've done several alignments. I used to big into air cooled VWs and would do my own alignments on my Type IIs and my Super Beetle using pre-measured pieces of string. I can't say that I really recommend doing it yourself. It's by far easier with clamp on lasers and computer guidance system. But don't take my word for it. Do it yourself and you'll quickly learn why it's so much better to pay the guys with the proper tools.

I tried that once on my old '78 Cutlass. I thought for sure I could do it with strings and a laser level..... Take it to a shop and let them do their magic on your car. It's very well worth it!!

I found the info. As I have said before doing the alignment is a adventure, you can pay the shops to do all kind of things but that is not the point. A few links below to do it yourself.
