Thoughts on 1990 350 SDL turbo Diesel
Hi all,
I'm looking into purchasing a 1990 350 SDL turbo Diesel that is in immaculate condition for $9,500 and I'm wondering how reliable the engine is. From what I've read, there are issues with the engine/cracked heads.
My mechanic gets in all kinds/years of Mercedes, I'd rather wait for a newer diesel (94 or 95) than purchase a new car. From what I've read, diesel engines in older Mercedes are more durable and in general better quality overall. I also like the heavier feel to the older cars. Is it better to wait for a diesel from the mid-90's?
My current daily driver is a 1980 300 sd that I absolutely adore. That car is back in the shop due to someone rear ending me last weekend.
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
