storing a mb diesel

my 91 350sdl will not be driven regulary and i m worried about the diesel fuel going bad. any thoughts on which additives for longer term storage ????????? thanks !

Kerosene, Thats what i use. I haven't Driven my 300sdl more than 100 miles since Oct 2003.

Depends on the additives the worst thing that can happen to diesel is it geling and if u mix in some kero it wont gel. Mercedes recommends 50/50 in the winter but in the US its illegal to run kero in ur diesel cause its not taxed. Truck drivers used to do it also when kero was alot cheaper than diesel around here though it now costs more.

can home heating oil run in a mercedes? itm is also illeagle but will it hurt anything?

Should not hurt it i burned citronella oil in mine once. Kept away the insects lol.
