Help me out.
My car is ripped off. I let my ex borrow it in March and she never brought it back. It's officially "Embezzled".
Anyhow, it's an 83 300D. Cream colored. Stock sedan in every way including spoked wheels with brake dust. I know what you're thinkin'. "There's only 7 million cars fitting that description."
I want to say it might be around Sacramento, or it might have stayed up in Portland Oregon area when she went up there to visit.
She has a tendency to hang out with the gang bangin' crew when she's up in Oregon, so don't be supprised if the person driving is smoking a blunt with a 40 oz malt liquor between his/her legs.
To make it easy, look for a sedan fitting the description above with California plates and "MAT" in the number. Remember it by associating it with a door mat, or your friend "Matt" but one "t". The whole number is "5MAT764". Write it in the dust on the dash of your car with your finger.
If you see it, call the cops and tell em' you saw a car you know is ripped off in California.

why not just give her a call and tell her to leave the car somewhere where you can pick it up?

 

She has no intention of giving it back. There's a felony warrant out for her arrest. She moved to a new place and won't tell me where she lives. I love that car, but I'd give it up before I embezzled it. Very weird. You don't know someone till you break up.

First I'd report it stolen with the police. Then cancel the insurance, and report the tags stolen with your motor vehicle department. That way your not liable if she does something stupid, or racks up a bunch of parking tickets.

I hope you don't have a lien on the car, if so contact the lender.

All you can hope for is that she gets stopped, and the cops impound the car....

 

I got my car back. I was looking for a Sushi place on my lunch break and I saw it. I went back that night with my friend and repoed it.
There was a parking ticket in the glove box. I paid it. $25. Electric antenna broken. Power windows switches jacked up with sugary bevarage or something. I fixed em.
Face plate for the stereo is not in there so I need a new stereo. They're cheap enough. I'm putting fresh AC components in it this weekend. It's gonna be better than it's ever been since I bought it. Thanx for the replies. Sorry about the Kirby.

Nothing like getting a phone call from ya friend talking about some chick is planning on never returning the stuff you loaned her when she needed it at the time.

Luckily I was able to take off, spend great money on a international flight, ship the Benz and get my BMW to Atlanta and in a place to be restored to mueseum quality as we speak all in one trip. Bitter-sweet, bitter-sweet.

 

You should call the cops, and tell em you got your car back. Better to explain it now than on the side of the road at 1:00AM.....

 

Check this out. My ex reported the car stolen when I repoed it with the Sacramento Police. They called me that night. They had no records that the car was embezzled from me. I live in Roseville (not far from Sacramento) and I filed with the DA with the aid of a Roseville Police officer around May 15th. Embezzlement and stealing to me seems so similar, but they're handled so differently. I think Roseville is an especially lazy department too.
