So, another dumb question.(Fuel Thermostat)
It's about the fuel thermostat again. This time it's about bypassing the part. I've identified what I think are the two hoses to be joined, but I want to be sure.(Pic might be large, not so sure.)

Sorry for these, I have zero experience and want to get this car running.

Also, are there any tips for bleeding the air out of the system? (For post-op.)

Your "mechanic" just wants to take your money. The thermostat just needs a single simple o-ring to fix any leaks.
Also, the thermostat is not actually needed. It only operates up to 70*f and the engine will run the same without it. You can bypass it by simply running a new hose from the suction pipe to the lift pump.

Sorry. Trolling not intentional.
