Shifting problem

was running / driving good. Injectors looked original so I thought I would replace them, do a little pm. replaced return fuel lines while I was at it.
During the process I must have hit a wire, vacuum hose, something, now it will not shift out of 1st or Reverse. Can't find anything loose, unhooked, etc, everything else seems to be working correctly.....only other thing I did was add some AT fluid. Could I have overfilled it? would that stop it from shifting. I've checked the downshift switch behind the accelerator, seems to be ok. I pushed it in and out of the garage by hand a couple times during injector change, would that affect anything?
any help, ideas, would be greatly appreciated.
thank you very very much
