Default Removing the Alternator?

OK, so, I managed to get all the belts off, and the alternator has very loose bearings. So, I'm takeing her in for a rebuild.

QUESTION: How the hell do I get the big bolt out that the tensioner bolt runs through? Or do I have to remove the entire bracket from the block?

I take it the little tensioner bolt must be welded/secured to/through the head of the large mounting bolt?

How is this done? (before I fire up the Oxy/act )

thanks, Joe

I added that in my profile, both as signature, and what I own, but as of now, neither show up?

It's a 1982 300TD Turbo Diesel Wagon.
