this morning, the reglow indicator in my husband's e300 td 1999 stayed on. the next time her started it and shifted it in reverse, both the reglow light and the check engine light came on. It is starting and running fine. Any ideas on what to expect when we take it to the shop?

The same thing recently happened to my 99 E300 as well. The glow plug indicator light comes back on about 1-2 seconds after the engine starts, and stays on until I turn off the car. The Check Engine Light is also staying on. When you find out what when wrong, please post the resolution.

usually the glow plug module on your particular year, but could also be a bad glow plug. most likely one or the other.
