Rear Wheel Bearings
I have a grinding noise in the rear tires and i think the bearings are shot. I am going to order new ones but i noticed there is a special socket to remove a nut on the back of the hub.It looks like a freewheel socket for a pedal bike from the pics i saw online.where can i find one of these or is it possible to do the old screw driver and a mallet trick to spin it out if its not impacted in there.
also i use diesel giant for some parts and have been satisfied but they don't have everything, got screwed over by another online place, what are some other recomemded online parts places.

Exactly which year and model do you have? Reason I ask is becauseI have a full set of new SKF (German) rear bearings, races, oil seals & flanged nutsthat have been sitting around my shop for about 10 years. I'd let you have them for shipping plus $50 just to say I got something for them. Not sure about properly removing the retaining nut as (obviously) I never got around to changing my rears out.
If you're interested PM me and we can make contact. I can send you a few pics of the stuff if you wish. I've always wondered what I would do with these so maybeyou are the answer.
If you're not interested inmy offer you may wish to tryThe Parts Bin. I've always had great luck with buying parts from them and they ship quickly.
