Default primary filter on W124 300D

Hi! New to the forum. I posted a small presentation in the newbie section.

Anyways i have Merc 300D 1988 NA that i recently bought. One previous owner and 20.000km (12.400miles) feels pretty good!

I am hoewer trying to locate the primary fuel filter (the smal one) as i dont know if it has ever been changed and i have heard that these can be a hassle. Im having trouble locating it. I bought a Haynes manuall but it does´nt say where to locate it. Advice please!

Also i have a question about Biodiesel. We have something called RME here made of rapeoil. can you use this in this model without any problems? What about the hoses and the IP? Natural rubber?

On my 87 there is a small inline filter off to the side and somewhat behind the injection pump. Then of course there is the large fuel filter up on the top right front directly above the pump. I have a feeling the PO installed the smaller filter but it may be OEM?
