Engine oil recommendations please for 220 CDI diesel engine 2002 year in England

mercedes recomends 0w 30? is thats what is stated in the owners manual? weight has some variables such as outside temp. i would use what is recommended by the owners manual. they usually have a chart for the right weight oil. 0w30 is good for certain temp ranges. use the best quality you can afford to, but i would not use bargain brands. here that means castrol, mobile one, chevron, penzoil, mobile ect. no walmart brands or wolfs head or coastal.
