I Have a 1983 240D Mercedes U.S. Specs. It keeps blowing the 16A(Red) Fuse #8 Position in the Fuse Box that operates the blowermotor, Air Condition compressor, switch-over valve idle stabilization. I have tried a used blowermotor and it would work for a few minutes, and than the 16A Fuse would BLOW. Please advise me what might be the problem.

Dave, did you ever find out what the problem was.. I have an 81 300 D and sent the blower motor for a rebuild to specialists...when I re installed it, the red fuse would blow after a short time...It actually blew pretty bad and a lot of black around the fuse...This car has never blown a fuse before this rebuild. thanks,,,Jan
