Hi, I'm new to this site and just wanted some advcie about my car.

It has this problem whereby it likes to judder at lover revs for now apparant reason. this is usually cured by changing down a gear, but i'm sure this should not be happening. A mechanic has told me that this could be due to a fuel pump and that replacing this may solve the problem. any ideas?

Another thing is that the car seems extremely slow, and i wondered if this may be related to the same problem. i have heard that the 240d is very slow, wondered if this was the same engine? does anyone know the power output of the engine?

hello, your car is slow. so is mine and it is the 300 cd not sure of the power but mine is rated somewhere in the 80 hp range. try changing the primary fuel filter. this seems to have caused my surging idle problems and it did clog up o0n me. i now carry onre and a screwdriver with me at all times.
