Default lowering 300sdl (126)

I want to lower my sdl all the springs I find say "except diesel" does anyone know why? it would seem that a 5.6 gas v8 would be heavier, so I dont think that is it. Have any of you done it anyway?

Put gasser front springs in from a 300. gassers are lighter than diesels.
leave subframe bushings to flatten and get the thinnest spring perch bushing.
Now why would you want to lower an sdl?

i want to lower it for two reasons 1. it will look cool with my 18" amg wheels 2. I want to improve its handeling I do a lot of high speed road trips and I want to tighten it up a bit. I thought about using gasser six cylinder springs, but they wont be a higher rate and then it will be a little mushy.

if you lower you car, it will affect the camber. There is a company that sells a camber adjustment kit called K-Mac, their website is www.kmac.com. it is an Austrailian company. I did find their products sold at www.shox.com, but they don't have the kits listed on the web site. You have to call the 800 number for price and availability. They discount them... :-) they sell both front and rear kits and they come with the extraction tool.

thanks! I was wondering what I was going to have to do to keep the camber under control.
