Looking to buy
Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a diesel car (love my hubby's Cummins). Like the VW's but LOVE the Mercedes - these are to two main players for diesel cars. First, anything I should look for or ask about? I found an 06 320E CDI with 86,500 miles. Can you use regular Rotella Synthetic to change the oil (VW's use a specific oil that you can only get at a VW dealer)? Has anyone had trouble starting in colder temps?-I live in NE Indiana. The specific price range I'm in means it'll have close to 100,000 no matter what one I find (also found a 05 w/75,000 miles). Any advice would be helpful, if I find one I like I will more than likely hang on to it for a long time. (Had my last vehicle for 11-1/2 years and only sold it because I wanted something different.)
