Injector Questions
When, and if, I decide to replace my injectors on my little diesel (should they be bad, and I think they are), I have read that Monark makes the best replacement. This true?
Second question: in a different forum, of not-so-erudite informers, it was mentioned that the engine would run even better if the pop-pressure was raised on the Monark injectors, and also if you advanced the timing a bit. Is this true? Could it cause damage? What tolerances should i be looking for?

Thank you - didn't know if it would damage anything to follow those suggestions, but apparently, it would help. Have you had any dealing yet with the Monark nozzles? All the reviews I've read have been positive, compared to bosch.
Also, ForcedInduction, did you get a "new" car?

Thanks, as always, for your help thus far. I am curious, what is the stock injector pop pressure on the regular bosch injectors, and, more importantly, what is a safe pressure to have the new injectors set at? When I get that done, is there a pressure/advancement chart on how much I will need to advance my injection pump for whatever increase in the pressure I have for the new nozzles? For instance - stock, no modification; 10% increase - how much advance, etc. Is it hard to advance an injection pump?
