Default information about desiel engine models

hi there, Thank you in advance for any replies to my questions, your generosity is much appreciated.

So, in short i am looking to purchase a diesel van for a new business. i am wanting to make it be able to run on bio fuel and svo.

I have being given the advice to look for a engine that has;

- a mechanical injector pump
- not use a common rail injection, but can be indirect or direct injection.
- not have a diesel particle filter.

got all that! ; )

So my question

-Does anyone know which diesel engine (s) would comply with the specs needed?

- if there are, what the latest complying model would have been

- any with turbo?

- any other information would be greatly appreciated !

thanks again

marcus

The only issues I ran into running Bio-diesel was the rubber fuel lines.
The Bio-diesel would make them soft and then they would leak, you can replace
the lines with a synthetic rubber that stops the all of that , I had to replace the
injection pump seals also after 80,000 miles with Bio-diesel safe seals.

This was on a 2003 VW TDI and I would up to 100% Bio-diesel.
I could run 20% with out taking a mileage hit.

Hoses, Seals and O-rings made of Viton.

For the OP; read up on the Winter use of Biodiesel.
