So, yesterday, I gently lifted each wheel, and put the snow tires on, one by one. I gingerly used a floor jack, and had the e-brake set.

This afternoon, I started the car, released the e-brake, and put her in Reverse. She moved a few inches, then stopped abruptly!

I very gently pulled forward, and had the same result. She'll move about 12" is all - then, well, it's like an iron bar is stuck through one of the U-joints, or something.

Thoughts? I was needing it to get to work tomorrow afternoon ;(

? Are the e-brake shoes stuck? Seems odd it would move as far as it does.
I sure hope the differential hasn't come apart, or something...

What am I to do??

 

Wow - hey, amazing what one can overlook.

Good thing I wasn't able to 'get a run' at it!

So, shorter bolts, and hopefully these ones will come out with the threads still intact!
