fuel system purge?
Hey guys, I've been looking at DieselGiant.com, and was thinking about doing a fuel system purge. Has anyone done one of these, and what was your opinion of the results. Also, Russel mentions to prime the fuel system after doing the purge and I haven't looked, but where is the primer pump? My car is a 77' 240D. I recently ordered the glow plug upgrade from Dieselgiant and was very happy with russels service and the speed with which I recieved my order. thanks, Curt
I've had good luck with that I did not use diesel giants stuff. If your system is dirty you will notice a diffrence in mpg and smoothness, but if it's clean already results will be limited. Note how your car is running before and it's mpg and check it afterwords. I would think yours has a primer, but one of the moderators can answer that better. good luck

You should have a primer pump - it will be located on the front side (grill side) of your injector pump. If it's the newer style (has been replaced) it will be a black plastic piece that you just depress to pump, if it's the old style, it will probably be a white circular **** that you unscrew, then lift and depress. If in doubt, follow the fuel lines from the primary filter towards the fuel pump, and look to see what you have.
