So after dealing with a broken 77' 300D for months, I finally scrapped it and bought a nice 81' 300SD Turbo diesel, although the name plate says 380SE, which I believe has a V8 Gas motor.
Anyways, its in great working order, tranny and engine has been replaced recently with lower millaged used components .
I am just wondering what matainence I should perform on the car ASAP as to prolong its longevity and keep it puuurrrin that clickty clack, clickty clack of a diesel?

All of the oils, filters, is a good start. What history does the car have if any. Jack it up/ rack and check driveline componets, brakes, wheel bearings. What works and what doesn't. Basiclly get to know your car
