diesel cylinder sleeves

You might be able to make something to pull the Liner out but shops often freeze the liners in Dry Ice and install them really fast in order to get them in.
The installation part is not something you want to start without having the right tools because if the Liner gets partway in or goes in at an slight angle you will need the right tools to finish the job.
Not on Mercedes but on other Diesels with liners my Boss had a Steel Tubing with an Id large enough for the Liner to pass through. A Plate was made for the bottom to grip only the liner and threaded Rod with Nuts on each end. There was also Plate that went on top of the Pipe with a Hole in it for the Threaded Rod to pass through.
