Computers on diesels?? what models/yrs?
Hello Diesel Fans,
Iwant to buy an older MB diesel, but I want to avoid cars with computer controls of any kind. I know that in the US, gasoline powered cars with combustion control computers started showing up in 1978 and later. My '96 Ford PSD truck has a computer, but it is a TDI and not mechanically injected.
My question is, when did Mercedes start putting computer controls, combustion or other,on their diesels, if ever?
