Unhappy Clutch trouble on 1982 240d sedan...help!

My clutch systems keeps crapping out on me. Tried several weeks ago bleeding out the fluid to clutch assembly to remove any air from system. This seemed to do the trick but very same problem cropped up again after two weeks. This problem manifests itself in not being able to get car into gear, grinding of the gears, complete loss of transmission function. Checked to see if there are any leaks....fluid level in fluid container....signs of loss of fluid on ground...all appears fine on this front. This car has worked fine for me for the past twenty years without this problem but now I am at a loss as to what to do. Have ordered a new replacement clutch cylinder as well as clutch slave cylinder in case either or both are causing this to happen.

DOES ANYBODY HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS SAME PROBLEM?
