Default CAR WONT SHUT OFF!!!!MBZ 82TD

I had the oil & filter change by a friend and when I wanted to turn offthe ignition, it wont shut off. Does anyone know anything about this problem and help me resolve it???? Thanks

Yup - right above where the oil filter goes, there are vacuum lines. 1 or more are disconnected. Reconnect them. Pretty common.. you need to be careful when doing the oil change.

I bet he is correct, That big mess of lines right near your oil filter is almost entirely vacuum hoses if it is anything like my 84 300D, Even one of those little lines being leaky or unplugged can be a pain. If you didnt know, on your throttle-linkage you might have a large red "STOP" sticker, just push it and it cuts the fuel and kills the engine.

Also, if you want to get specific, I believe there is some type of vacuum powered pump? on or near your injector pump close to your oil filter. It might be clear (mine is clear/green) and the throttle linkage eventually makes it to this unit, That part has a vacuum line that provides the suction that cuts the fuel off when the car ignition is turned off, you can start there and back-track to find your disconnected vacuum line.
