I've got a mint 1987 190D Turbo with an auto trans that won't shift out of first. Instead of replacing it with another auto I thought it would be more fun to convert it over to a manual transmission. Anybody do this swap before and which 190 cars can i look for as a donor? Do both diesel and gas 190's work for this? Is this a direct swap or does it require any modifications other than the obvious stuff? I'm talking more about driveshaft lengths, crossmembers and things like that not shifter holes, pedals, etc.
