Default turbo boost sprinter

hi i have an 2007 sprinter 315 cdi i have fitted a turbo boost gauge and i have tapped in to the boost pipe that comes from the turbo to the intercooler, gauge works ok but on full power iam reading 3bar pressure plus! this i think is inaccurate! my question is should i have tapped in to the turbo pipe after the intercooler not before to get a more accurate reading or is there any where else i can pick up the boost pressure thanks in advance ziggy

Default RE: turbo boost sprinter

thanks forcedinduction i did think that the drop would be minimal i have had the van remapped a while ago for economy but the boost wasnt changed significantly also i thought that the engine should cut out with this much boost so as not to damage it, if this is so maybe the gauge is faulty? now iam worried to drive her,any thoughts

regards richard
