Diesel Fans,

I am looking at buying a 85 300D that the current owner claims was delivered in Germany and then shipped by the original owner to the US. Can anyone summarize the differences between Euro and US models of this vintage? Anything I should be concerned or worried about, e.g. parts availability, passing inspections, etc.? The car will be registered in Missouri.

In general, I would take the European model over the American. I only buy german made (quality is there, I learned the hard way).
