one is called a sports car and another is called maybach?

 

Main difference is inline 4 and V6 engine configuration.
230 models without kompressors are 2.3L DOHC inline 4.
There are both 2.3L and 1.8L DOHC inline 4 for 230 with kompressors. Current models have 1.8L
240 are now 2.6L SOHC v6 , used to be 2.4L

Which model has the 200 hp supercharged motor... that is the one my girlfriend test drove but decided she wanted a v-6....??

 

The 2.3L supercharge, (discountinued) had 192 bhp, 1.8L supercharge (current) is rated at 189 bhp
240's 2.6L V6 makes 168 bhp, this is the only 240 engine in the U.S., 2.4L never showed up here.
None of the inline 4 supercharged engine made 200 bhp. The smallest V6 making 200bhp is the 3.2L V6 found in 320 models.

 

It was the 1.8 Supercharged putting out 189 hp...the salesman rounded to 200 hp...sounds much more impressive. She decided to get a 3.5L V-6 Maxima and now hates the car she bought. I told her to buy the Mercedes!

 

What is wrong with the Maxima? what year is it?
I used to have a 98 maxima se, I loved the car.
The car never had any problems. I never had to worry about any light bulbs burned out or deal with a messed up cd-changer.

 

Firstly, she states that the 260 hp motor shimmies a bit at idle. I told her duh, it is the same motor in the 350 Z! haha It is also very squirrely when you slam on the gas (front wheel drive)...I should know, I broke that car in the right way!! lol
The leather seat head rest is non functional and the seats overral are not very comfortable. I am sure the reliability will be there...I just think she is a bit high maintenance and should have gone with a more prestigious car like a Mercedes and/ or BMW..you get the idea!
