82 300SD will not start
The engine cranked over for a long time and fuel pump gauge only go up to 1 ½ and the car could not able to start all the way. So the battery got weak because of cranked the engine for a lone time to start the car. I have to charge the battery and then cranked again for lone time and the car started. After I drove it for 10 mile or more and I stop at the store and came right out it will start but if I let it sit at work for 8 hours it will not start again. The filters are good
Thanks in advance for your help. Thomas

I currently have that problem, especially if the front of the car is up hill. My problem is the top of the injector pump O-rings. My O-rings on the 33spline plugs going to the injector line is leaking, and cause air to be sucked in letting the fuel go back to the tank. With out a elec fuel pump you have to crank over the engine a lot to get fuel back. It's a $20 from MB fix if you have the 33 spline socket [ sockets + $50 ] So until I rent or buy the socket I park the nose down hill for now. good luck

Just ended that problem with mine by changing out the 0-rings at the injector pump injector lines. Great can leave it parked nose up hill and it starts from over night. I didn't get a socket just machined the jaws on a small pair of vise grips to match the 33 splineand did the job fine. Also saving fuel since it's not dripping liquid gold.
