OK I have a question to ask...

I am going to change the transmission fluid very soon. I have checked with MB and they tell me Dexron III is good. How ever it is no longer available. Checking with the transmission shops that service the transmissions, Dexron IIII or better Dexron VI is now the recommended fluid.
Ok that solved.....

Now before I start my questions are ..

What tools and sizes do I need. I think its a 6 mm hex socket for the pan drain and the torque converter drain ?

Six pan nuts ?

Most important what kind of bolts or screws hold the filter in place ?
What tool and size do I need to take them out.
Like to know, so I have everything here I need.
Thanks kindly for any info

Anyone know what the vacuum is supposed to be on the 1984 300 td.
I have installed a vacuum guage and it reads 14 at idle. Now the funny part, when u step on the throttle pedal and the engine revs up it drops to about 5 and stays at 5 when driving. I am suspecting that there is a leak in the line to the transmission modulator, or the modulator has a leak ? Anyone with ideas ?
