I recently bought an 81 240d. I'm very excited about it and my wife and I have been having such fun driving this old car. It has a few problems that we intend to repair as we can.
The biggest problem is related to the automatic transmission. I discovered one day a small puddle of transmission fluid. Initially, it appeared that the leak was coming from the junction of the dipstick and the transmission. While it is still possible that it is leaking there I noticed a small drip coming from the top of the dip stick. It is like it is being pushed out through the top of the dipstick tube. Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter. Thanks
